During the Second World War in the Japanese empire trained pilots were used to make suicide missions, organized into squadrons. These were known as kamikaze pilots and acted with a rigid training organized especially for that purpose. It was young suicide bombers who gave his life voluntarily to improve the situation of war for their country. The protagonist of this novel, Sayuri Miyamoto, frustrated at not being able to enroll her in the squad of the "Wings of God" because women were not admitted, she decided to risk her life in the attempt, she was thirsty for revenge after the death of her brother and her best friend to the enemy.
